Umkomaas, situated on the South Coast a short drive from Durban is a fisherman's paradise. Game fish like King Mackerel, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Kingfish, can be caught from Ski boats, Fishing skis, Kayaks, Jetskis. For the shore angler there are plenty of Shad, Kob. Grunter, Kingfish, Garrick. The best time for fishing from the beach is during the winter June / July when the sardines are about. Fish can be caught all year round on the offshore reefs.
